Are you the DMV?
No. Highland Auto Registration is a private business, not the California DMV. These services are also available directly at dmv.ca.gov.
Why use a registration service?
We prepare and check your paperwork, explain what’s needed, and handle the filing so you can avoid repeat trips and DMV lines. Our service fee is for that convenience.
Are DMV fees included in your price?
No. Our service fee is separate. DMV fees (registration, title, transfer, use tax, penalties, smog fees) are set by the state and paid in addition. We’ll tell you the DMV portion before we file.
Are the prices on this site final?
The prices shown are our flat service fees. DMV fees are extra and vary by vehicle. Services not on our price sheet, such as smog-related help, are quoted when you call. Your total is confirmed before we begin.
What should I bring?
It depends on your service. Each service page has a printable checklist. Commonly needed: valid ID, proof of insurance, and your renewal notice, title, or registration.
Do I need an appointment?
Booking helps us have your file ready. Request an appointment online or call us. We’re open Mon–Fri 10:00 AM–6:00 PM · Sat 10:00 AM–5:00 PM · Sun closed.
Do you offer mobile service or come to me?
No. We don’t send anyone out for mobile visits. If you’d rather do everything online, that’s fine. We can handle it remotely and mail your documents, stickers and plates to you.
Do you do smog checks or VIN verifications yourselves?
We help you understand what’s needed and prepare your file. When you book, we’ll tell you exactly how we can help with your case and where the inspection or verification is completed.
Which cities do you serve?
Our office is in San Bernardino. We serve customers from Highland and nearby areas. See Locations.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, credit card and Zelle. Our service fee and the DMV fees can both be paid at the office.
What if my registration has expired?
It’s common. Late fees apply; see expired registration renewal for what to bring.
How long does it take?
Many transactions are submitted the same visit. DMV processing and mailing times vary — stickers, cards and titles are generally mailed afterward.
